If you have a chance to take your children to see the new babies it is such a fun family activity.

Sometimes just a drive in the country can give you a chance to see the new babies in the fields as you drive down country roads. Just seeing animals as you drive can be a big treat for children and can give you the feeling that spring is showing up!

If you get a chance to actually visit a farm, perhaps you know a farmer that will let you visit and see the new baby animals on his farm. This can be a special event for your children too.

If you get a chance to take some photos and scrap them – it is a nice way to preserve the memories of spring too!

If you don’t know any farmers, or don’t know any country drives that would give you a chance to see the spring babies. Then try going to a a zoo! I live by a couple of zoos and they always have new baby animals in the spring.

One zoo near my house – the Wild Animal Park let’s animals roam in a more natural settings and it is so fun to see the new babies wandering around with their mothers! I love seeing the baby elephants, giraffes, and hippopotamuses.

This can be one way you can show your children the cycles of nature and signs of spring.

Take a few moments and look for signs of spring? Take photos and scrap your findings!

My daughter mentioned that was strange that we had so few pet photos as I was always snapping photos. She went on to say how unfortunate it was because our pets where so much of her childhood, and she wished now we had more photos and scrapbooking pages to show her own children.

I agreed with her, I guess trying to capture the lives of my children I forgot about the pets.

It really wouldn’t have taken much more time to take a few extra photos and scrap a few extra pages of the family pets — I am sure if someone had just mentioned it when I was younger would have done that!

It is too late for me to do that while my kids are young – but I can pass this on to you! And it is not to late for me with the grandchildren and pets!

Capturing our family pets on camera is fun and can add to our digital scrapbooking pages and can preserve our memories of them in our lives!

My daughter is better at capturing her life with her pets she not only takes lots of photos of those cuties – but also makes sure the photos look good by taking the green eye out of her pet’s photos too!

Here is an example of her dog, Bebe with green eye in her photo before she removed it.

Pet green-eye is similar to the human-version, red-eye, but removing green-eye from your pet photos is another story.

It’s not quite as easy to remove green-eye as it is to remove red-eye within Photoshop or Photoshop Elements. It can be frustrating as a beginner, and for those of you that aren’t very familiar with photo editing, these green-eyed pet photos usually end up deleted instead of proudly posted on the fridge where they belong.

However, if you are interested we do have training that shows you how to take the green eye out of your precious pet’s photos.

According to the National Retail Federation’s 2007 Halloween Consumer Intentions and Actions Survey, “Many consumers who own pets think of them as family members,” said NRF President, Tracy Mullin. “Pet owners will go all out to include dogs, cats and other critters in Halloween festivities, including trick-or-treating, handing out candy or even celebrating at a friend or family members’ house.”

Pets do seem to be involved in all the Halloween fun, I know personally as I get photos in my email inbox from my daughter, many of her puppies joining in the Halloween fun. The photo above is of one of her dogs that is helping give out the Halloween candy as children drop by for trick or treating.

I used to think it was kind of funny when people got their pets all dressed up in Halloween costumes, but I have changed, even doing this myself now. For me it seem to start after my children left home and my dog, Emily started getting all the maternal attention.

She gets lots of attention these days, and I especially couldn’t resist dressing her up, when I saw a Halloween dog shirt that said “Will beg for Treats!”

I thought that this Halloween shirt was so cute, and I thought the costume was perfect for Emily because I always keep her hair short and as the Fall chill rolls in I often put her into a dog shirt or sweater any way to keep her warmer.

So the Halloween shirt made sense to me and made me laugh too….. It is good to have a good chuckle sometimes I think it is good for your health and soul too!

One thing I have noticed when I take photos of my sweet little puppy is that sometimes she gets doggy green-eye in the photos, it is sort of like the red-eye people get when we take some photographs with the flash on. Once you get your photos fixed then try digital scrapbooking your special pet and all the Halloween Activities!

It is fun to add digital scrapbooking pages that include your pet and all the Halloween fun.
