Go GREEN with Digital Scrapbooking

May 4th, 2010

Choose to green your scrapbooking hobby with Digital Scrapbooking! As we recently celebrated Earth Day, it reminds me of how precious our planet is. I’ve been lucky enough to play on beautiful beaches, in lush woods, on high mountains, and gorgeous rolling hills and I hope that my kids can do the same!

But it worries me when what seems like every day there’s another natural disaster, another animal that’s almost extinct, and an rapidly disappearing ozone layer above our little world.  I definitely want to be a part of the ‘go green’ movement, preserve mother nature, and keep this lovely planet that we call home intact for myself, for my kids, and for their kids too.

That’s why I am so proud to be part of a ‘green’ version of scrapbooking. Going digital means less paper and physical supply waste that pollutes the Earth.

When you partake in traditional scrapbooking, think of how much paper goes straight into the trash. From small clip-its when you use paper punchers or cut shapes and photo frames, or all the stickers, ribbons, embellishment scraps that are left behind and unused. All of these scrapbooking scraps add up and take up space in junk yards!

Not to mention, how few traditional scrapbooking supplies are actually made from recycled materials??!

Or even with the scrapbooking supplies that aren’t being used meant cut trees, factories, and other pollutants that damage our environment. How many times have you bought scrapbooking supplies at the store, and then stuffed them away in your closet, forgetting what you even had anymore or that they were even there. Unused scrap stuff is wasted… at the cost of mother nature!

Digital Scrapbooking makes eco-friendly training and supplies Going digital and becoming a digital scrapbooker solves planet-polluting problems and is an eco-friendly way to scrap your favorite photos and memories!

You can buy as many digital scrapbooking supplies you want without worrying about being wasteful, because they sit in folders on your computer and are made of digital cyber-space (and not of precious trees)! Whether you use all of your digital kits and supplies, some of them, or none of them, you’re not supporting the removal of the rainforest, evicting animals out of their natural habitats, or causing the ozone layer to shrink.

Digital Scrapbooking is great because you can also pick and choose what you want to print. From photos to scrap pages, going digital means you only print out the pics and projects that mean the most to you.

Join Digital Scrapbooks and More and make an effort to ‘green’ one of your favorite hobbies. Switch to digital scrapbooking this year and do your part to play with eco-friendly crafts.
