It is hard to believe that Photoshop Elements does not have a spelling checker especially when Photoshop does and when Elements is really the tool for Digital Scrapbookers!
This seems to be a big oversight especially since lots of text is written each day in Photoshop Elements as we all make lots of digital scrapbooking pages! A spelling checker seems like it would be a much welcomed feature … perhaps in next version of Elements??
Here are some work around solutions:
Until Adobe puts spelling checker in Photoshop Elements, digital scrapbookers will have to find other solutions to help us check our scrapbooking text.
One way to do it is to write all your text in Microsoft Word (or another document program).
And run your spelling checker in this program
After it is spelling checked, then just copy and paste the text into Photoshop Elements.
If you like to write your text in your digital scrapbooking page first, then you can always copy and paste into Microsoft Word and check it after you have written in Elements. Just remember to paste the corrected version back into your digital scrapbooking page!
Using Microsoft Word has one plus, it also checks your grammar! This can make it worth all the extra copying and pasting!
Use Online Spelling Checkers too
Another way you can check your spelling without using a program like Word is to go to this online spelling checker and paste your text into it.
This online spelling checker can help you check your spelling – at http://spellcheck.net/ Again you will have to copy and paste your text between Photoshop Elements and this online site.
While just having a spelling checker right in Photoshop Elements would be the most convenient – since this is not a option at this time this work-around can work and save you lots of time and money in mistakes!
Take a moment and try this tip and see if it makes your workflow easier! It sure helped me!
Enjoy!
