Spring is here and for some of us we are seeing the weather change. One fun thing to do when you see spring weather in your area is to have a Spring Tea Party. Call your mother, sister, daughters or girl friends and gather together for an afternoon tea party!
If the weather permits, set your tea party outdoors among the blossoming flowers.
A tea party among the flowers can be the perfect background for lots of “girly” fun and make for
beautiful photos for your scrapbooking projects. When tea is served to family and friends in a lovely garden, or under a tree in the yard, something enchanting happens. There is warm laughter and the voices of delighted women will ring through the Spring breeze.
A tea party can be one of the most relaxing few hours … I know my daughter treated me to one the other day and I have to admit that it was so fun, and I had such a delightful few hours!
A Tea party can be done anytime, indoors or outdoors – but this spring you might try having the Tea Party out in nature for an extra nice touch!
Spring flowers can set the backdrop with garden full of roses, daises, peonies, and lilacs or whatever grows in our area can set the scene for your tea party. You can also fill in the party area with simple arrangements in vases, buckets or pitchers all filled with flowers from your own garden or the farmers market.
Here are some tips for your Tea Party
Tip 1: Use a mix of different teacups, teapots and plates. Tea sets are expensive and sometimes hard to come by. One way to make it whimsical and more economical if you don’t have a tea set is to combine finds from thrift or antiques shops and discount stores. Or borrow a few pieces from your mother, aunt, sister or friends. You can even have everyone that is coming to the tea party bring their own plate, saucer, and tea cup as part of the party! If you think this eclectic style is strange – I just went to a professional tea house, and each place setting was in a different pattern – using this eclectic style was charming.
Tip 2: Make Place Cards for those coming to the Tea Party. It is so fun to see your name printed out sitting by a lovely place card! It is so easy to make your own place cards! If you don’t know how to do that then check out this training – How to Make Place Cards (and More) using Photoshop Elements. This Training is a fabulous way to learn how to make your own place cards for dinner or tea parties, food information cards, gift cards for presents, and so much more! Bonus: Digital Scrapbooking Supplies, Custom Brushes, and Photoshop Place Card Template are all included in this training too!
Tip 3: Serve a variety of teas! Treat your guests to teas they love, and some they’ve never tried. When people show up for a tea party it so fun to
have a variety of teas to try. Start out with an Ice tea, serve a dinner tea and then change to desert tea! Set out milk, honey, and sugar – for fun maybe even color the sugar cubes or in pastel colors!
Not sure where to get extra good tea? Forget the grocery store! Try this online tea shop for amazing teas – Mighty Leaf tea Company! These teas are of the highest quality and one of the best teas I have ever tried! The tea bags are not even made of paper but of silk like fabric bags! Often you will find this tea served at very high end places – and now your tea party too!
Tip 4: Digital Scrap your Tea Party and send a Digital copy of the Scrapbooking Album to each of your guests! It is so fun to keep your memories of the enchanting tea party alive by scrapping them and sending the scrapbooking album to everyone!
It is easy to turn your scrapbooking pages into a digital album (PDF) with multiple pages to email to your family and friends to remember the fun you had at the tea party! When your guest gets this type of album they can print it out, view it on their computer, re-email it to other friends or family members too! Because it is in the Adobe Acrobat (PDF) format your loved one doesn’t need anything but the free acrobat reader that almost everyone has already on their computers!
The image above shows the scrapbooking album attached to an email and ready to send to everyone that came to the tea party. Photoshop Elements even attaches your digital album to an email so all you have to do is fill in who you want to send it to and edit your message! Yes, that simple!
It is so easy to make your Digital Scrapbooking Pages into a digital album in Photoshop Elements – if you would like to know how then see this training -How to Make a PDF Scrapbooking Album using Photoshop Elements 8! This training will show you all about the basics of making a digital scrapbooking album that you can email, print or view on a computer. This tutorial will show you how to make just one PDF scrap page, or take multiple digital scrapbooking pages and combine them into album that is in the PDF format using Photoshop Elements!
