Printed Menu’s have been used in restaurants from the early 1770s, and often find their way into more modern dinner parties or events.
Some menus are simple and others grand.
When one has a party, tea, luncheon, or even a romantic dinner it is often fun to include a menu on the table.
If you have been thinking of making a menu for your next party then you might be interested in today’s blog – as we are going to give instructions on making your own menu!
Nine Steps to Making a Menu in Photoshop Elements or Photoshop
It is very easy to make a menu in Photoshop Elements or Photoshop and here is how you 
do it.
Step 1: Open Elements (or Photoshop) and create a new document 8.5×11”, with a white background layer. Doing this will make it easier to print out in a home printer.
Then for fun bring some digital scrapbooking paper over the background layer.
Step 2: Take the Marquee tool and cut out the middle of the digital scrapbooking paper so the white background shows through in the middle.
This makes your menu look like it has an beautiful border, and because it is not just a solid color it has texture or a pattern that makes it very interesting! Then you might add a drop shadow to the digital paper.
Step 3: Add a photo that goes along with your theme to make your menu more attractive and to coordinate with your party, tea, or dinner.
Step 4: Add a outline and drop shadow to the image.
Step 5: Add some extra embellishments and arrange your photo
Step 6: With the Text tool – type a title and menu
Step 7: Add some Text Effects and Drop Shadows to the text
Step 8: Add some other Embellishments to finish your menu
If you have some WordArt and other Embellishments that go along with your theme – you can take your menu to the next level!
Step 9: Print out a copy of the menu for each guest
