What kid doesn’t like finding a note in their lunch box?
My children always told me how special they felt when they opened their lunch box and found a little note from mom!
St. Patrick’s day is a perfect time to add a little special love note to your child’s lunch box, backpack or pen case!
You might even consider putting a note in your husband’s brief case too!
Now you could buy cards to put in
all the lunches — expensive! You could scribble in a note pad and tear it out and place in the lunch box — boring!
So what can a busy mom do?!
Well there is a very easy way to make a quick note but jazz it up so it is exciting while keeping the cost low!
Grab you digital scrapbooking supplies, custom brushes and open up
Photoshop or Photoshop Elements and start scrapping your note cards!
First, use a scrapbooking paper for your background, then put embellishments on, with the Text Tool type your message like “Happy St. Patrick’s Day!” add your child’s name for a personal touch!
Next, print the note cards, then cut them out and handwrite a special note your child!

Using this same idea you can make a quick note card for a plate of St Patrick’s Day cookies to put on a doorstep of a friend or neighbor!
Also you can use these cards for marking food and making a food info card for parties too!
After you make Food Info Cards, use them around the food to let people know what you are serving!
You can add things like: names of dishes, warnings if food is spicy or has ingredients that might be allergens to some guests “like this dish is Gluten Free”, or for make a card for other dietary restrictions like “this dish is a vegetarian dish!”
Also, don’t forget you can use them as a Place Card at your dinner table with the name of each guest too!
