Question: Dear Ms. Digi Know, It’s such a pain to send my scrapbooking pages to my family via email. Sending the page as a Photoshop (PSD) file is always impossible because the file size is too big (not to mention, not everyone has Photoshop and can view the file, and the ones that do- I don’t want them editing my work!). But I never know how my page will open up on the other person’s computer if I send the page as a JPEG file… so I just feel totally confused. I just want them to open the file and see my digital scrapbooking pages normally! How should I email my digi-projects to friends and family? Sincerely, Emailin’ Fool
Answer: Howdy Emailin’ Fool, No worries, darlin’. The digi-doctor is in the house! One of the best ways to send your digital scrapbooking pages, projects, or albums is as a PDF file. Sending as a PDF makes the file size low (which makes it easy to send by email), opens regularly without looking ridiculously big or small on your loved one’s computer, and is a easy way to feel confident that the other person will be able to open your digi-masterpiece.
You, your friends, and family can get the FREE PDF Acrobat® Reader if you don’t have it already, which allows you to open and read PDF files. To get the FREE reader ~ Click Here. Again, the PDF reader software is FREE, so if you don’t download and install it… you really are a fool!
