I always loved all the fun Valentine’s candies with cleaver sayings. It makes me in the mood for Valentine’s Day and all the fun! It is interesting to think that the company, Necco, that makes Sweethearts® Conversation Hearts, has been in business since 1847! Saying all those clever, mushy, and yes, very trendy sayings (like BFF (best friend forever), Email Me, and even TEXT ME!) on our heart candy! Did you know that Necco manufactures over 8 billion hearts each year? WOW! What American kid hasn’t enjoyed a few of these treats on Valentine’s Day? One fun activity is to take your children on a virtual field trip to see how this candy is made — take the candy tour! Also you can play a trivia game at the Necco Website!
