Create your own place cards for Thanksgiving dinner with digital scrapbooking supplies. It is fun to have custom place cards at for special holidays and other occasions. It is easy to make them – just follow these 5 simple steps!
Step 1: Make a basic place card template. One very easy way to make place cards for Thanksgiving dinner is to open up Photoshop or Photoshop Elements.
Next with the Rectangle Tool draw out some a place card on a 8.5 x 11 new document or digital scrap page.
You can even measure and put a dotted line in the middle for helping with knowing where the design should go and how to fold it later.

After you have made your template or opened the FREE Template in Photoshop or Elements you are ready to decorate your place card.
Step 2: Open up some holiday digital scrapbooking embellishments that you have. In this example, The Thanksgiving Digital Embellishment Kit was used. You can buy it at the Scrap Shop.
Next Drag and drop your embellishment on to the bottom parts of each of the place cards.
Resize and arrange the embellishments on each of the place cards.

Step 3: Type a Name or Greeting on Place Card. With the type tool type a name, greeting or both on the place card. You could type the greeting like “Happy Thanksgiving” or “The Smith’s Family Thanksgiving Dinner” on the place card and write the names by hand!
Step 4: Print it, cut it and fold it! Now you are almost done. Just print out on your home printer. Then cut around the edges of each place card then fold them and you are good to go!
Step 5: Put them on your Thanksgiving Table!
This was a very fun way to use digital scrapbooking supplies to make a wonderful holiday place card. Special extra tip: You can use digital scrapbooking embellishments but you could have also used custom Thanksgiving brushes to decorate your place cards too!
