Six Steps to Make a Digital Scrapbooking Paper!
Making digital scrapbooking paper out of candy corn is very easy! Here are the steps to doing it.
Step 1: Grab your digital camera, candy corn and get the
paper background ready. Lay out the candy on one or two pieces of paper. Good colors for the paper background are yellow, orange, white, or black depending on the effect your would like. the candy will not fit perfectly together and some of the paper color will show through.
In this example I choose yellow so the background would blend in and be less noticeable. then start pouring your candy corn on the paper.
Step 2: Arrange the candy for the paper design. Dumping out the candy on the paper helps keep the random look, but smooth out candy by pressing it down on with your hands.
Fill in any of the open spaces with candy. If you see any candies that have defects – don’t necessarily throw them away! Sometimes the differences add character to your design!
Step 3: Take different shots of the candy! Zoom in, zoom out, take the photo in different positions. When you have lots of photos to choose from you can pick the perfect one to make the digital paper!
Step 4: Load the images on your computer and bring the images into Photoshop or Photoshop Elements to edit.
In this example we brought our image into Photoshop Elements and we cropped and edited it until we had a digital scrapbooking paper that was – 11 x 8.5 (perfect for home printing!) and resolution at 300 ppi in case we want to send it to an outside professional printer too!
Step 5: Bring digital photos and other digital supplies in and make a digital scrapbooking page!
In this example I brought in some cute digital photos of a special trick-or-treaters eating candy, also I brought in other digital scrapbooking supplies and made a digital scrapbooking page.
