September 11th, 2009

Adjusting the Workspace to Your Tastes!

Elements with the dark screenNo need to squint to see your Photoshop Elements 7 screen anymore, because you can actually lighten or darken the color of your Workspace Area!

It is easy to change the Workspace Area from a hard-to-see black to a mid-tone gray… even as light as a soft gray color too!

Here is How to Do It!

Follow these simple steps: At the top menu, go to: EDIT > PREFERENCES > GENERAL.

In the pop-up menu, Making the adjustmentsmove the slider (see arrow) to the right for a lighter gray colored Workspace, or move to the left for a darker black colored Workspace Area.

It’s that easy!

Now you can have a workspace that is very dark, or very light or even someplace in between.

One reason you might want to use this feature is because in the darker setting some buttons and items blend into the background making them hard to see. With lighter backgrounds they stand out more and are easier to find or see.

Changing the workspace area to lighter It truly can be customized to fit your preferences and what works best with your eyes. This feature alone is reason to up grade to Photoshop Elements 7!

FYI: (This tip only works in Photoshop Elements 7,  sorry earlier versions or MAC Users this feature is not available to you.)

Have a very nice day!
