Email junk can be turn into digital scrap masterpieces!

You might be surprised to learn that you may be able to turn digital email junk into digital scrapbooking masterpieces! The answer to new, fresh layout and design ideas for your Digital Scrapbooking Projects just may very-well be lying in your ever day, ‘junk emails!’

Everyday you may receive e-sales, ads, and updates about companies and their products in your inbox. It’s typically referred to as ‘junk email,’ though it might not have to stay that way! With the following three tips, discover new, creative design solutions to your Digital Scrapbooking page layouts by using your junk emails:

Junk Email Tip #1: Page-Layout Ideas. Most junk emails include a combination of things, including images and design elements to make the e-advertisement more interesting. Instead of hitting the delete button, make Email Junk mail that gave me an idea!sure you take a second to open your emails and check to see if any of them have interesting page layout ideas!

The following example was sent to me around Father’s Day.

I had never heard of this company, and hadn’t even subscribed to their news or announcements, yet I still got an email.

I opened my email, and to my surprise (and delight) there was a really interesting combination of photos and text. It was a great page layout for one of my own personal projects!

I Here is the digital scrapbooking page I made from the junk email idea!scrapped a similar layout, and “waa-la!” Junk transformed into another fabulous Digital Scrapbooking Page!

You can see that it is not exactly like the original junk email, but it inspired me to make a wonderful digital scrapbooking page with a brand-new layout that I hadn’t tried before!

See, you are getting the idea too!

Special note: Check back tomorrow because our blog will give you as the Step-by-Step Directions on how to make something like this digital scrapbooking page too!!!

Junk email can give you color ideas! Junk Email Tip #2: Color-Ideas. It’s easy to get stuck when it comes to making colors coordinate into a general color-theme within your Digital Scrapbooking Projects. But open your next ‘junk email’ and you might notice that it may use a few colors to decorate the email to add an additional element of design or in order to coordinate with an upcoming holiday, season, or items that they’re selling. Take note of the combination of colors either within the email or within the products they are selling and try the color schemes out on your own Digital Scrapbooking Projects!

Mix and match colors that complement one another using your every day junk emails!

In this junk email example, I took notice of the colors used in the striped lawnUsing the same colors in the junk email for my digital scrapbooking page chair pillows (see the red box and red arrow within the junk email example, and then arrow in the scrap page). The colors are rust, fall yellow and green. It was nice to see what colors looked good together and in what type of shades. When making my own Digital Scrapbooking Project, I used these garden pillows for inspiration when it came to the border/ribbon colors for my Project! Based on the rust striped pillow color-scheme, I made my own Digital Scrapbooking ribbon for may digital scrapbooking page! Then I used the French Flare Digital Scrapbooking Kit to make the rest of this digital scrapbooking page.

Junk email can give you text ideas Junk Email Tip #3: Text-Ideas. You know how to use the text tool, but have you ever felt confused as to which fonts, styles, and sizes look good together when it comes to actually adding text to your page?

Again, rely on junk emails to help you out!

In this example, I received a clothing coupon from a store/company I had never shopped from before. I liked the way the text was laid out, with the different fonts, and shades. Plus, I loved the dash line with words in it, and it
inspired me to get creative with my own Camping Trip flyer I was scrapping!

My digital scrapbooking project made from junk email ideas!

Again, I didn’t copy the junk email exactly, I looked at it and used the idea of the dotted border with words in it.

I also used the different size fonts and different types of fonts and colors to make emphasis like the junk email had!

I think that this would have not been an idea I would have used unless I looked more closely at my emails!

Remember, the next time you go to check your email, don’t be so quick to press the delete button on those ‘junk emails!’ You just might be able to use them as your inspiration for your next, best Digital Scrapbooking
Masterpiece!
