Summer Adventures in Cancun, Under-Water Cameras, & Beach-Inspired Supplies!

June 19th, 2009

Page using Fun At The Sea Digital Scrapbooking Kit from Digital Scrapbooks and More.com My family is looking forward to a long anticipated vacation to Cancun Mexico. We have planned and saved for a couple of years, not really knowing if we would be able to reach our goal to get there as a family before my oldest son graduates high school. Well, we applied for our passports last year so that we would have them if that terrific deal on airline tickets ever happened to come up at the same time there were openings at the resort where we have a time share in Cancun. We have had some luck, and these two criteria came about one night as my husband searched the internet for the deal of a lifetime. So he booked the trip and we are set to leave in about a week.

One of the first things that I thought of as a mother was that the pictures I take on this trip will be the key to savoring this trip of a life time, well, for a life time. I know that most of our vacation will be spent playing on the beach and in the water. I suspect that we will do a lot of snorkeling and maybe even go on a couple of guided tours where we will see some sensational underwater life and I will want to take magnificent pictures, but I didn’t really have any idea what kind of a camera to take with me or how to get the best results underwater. I started investigating this information on the internet and discovered that it was not easy to find information that will benefit a beginning underwater photographer. I can’t imagine that I am alone in the fact that this may be our only experience as a family of this type. I don’t want to invest in expensive camera equipment and/or training. So, it took some digging but I finally found a web site that gave me, a beginner, realistic ideas that will help me take terrific pictures on water based vacation. The web site is: http://www.roseindia.net/articles/disposable-underwater-cameras.page

This site suggested purchasing an all-weather camera that is ideal for shooting outdoors in any terrain. It states that this type of camera is not only waterproof, but weatherproof. So this is perfect for the beach or a day on the slopes. Most of these cameras are between $6 and $20. Not a bad price either.

I thought that the basics were good for me and I hope that it might come in handy for your summer vacations and get-aways too. I will let you know how my underwater vacation pictures turn out.

Fun At The Sea Digital Scrapbooking Kit from Digital Scrapbooks and More.com In the meantime, I made sure to get some Digital Scrapbooking Supplies so I could be all ready scrap using a kit that will coordinate with our adventure when we get back home.
